Building regulations are required to ensure a development meets the current standards for building design and construction, health and safety, energy efficiency and access. The first stage is to submit a 'Full Plans Application'. This typically consists of drawings and a specification which detail the design and construction of the development (as covered and described in our services section). A fee based on floor area and type of development will be charged by the building consultancy and varies from council to council. The second stage is for the construction work to be inspected at various stages by a building inspector. With all inspections satisfied a certificate of compliance will be issued. A single fee for inspection will be charged by the building consultancy which again varies.
